Karuna Bodywork is deep and powerful. Usually the experience is a blissful one, but – as with any other form of bodywork – occasionally side effects can be experienced. These are generally mild and go away soon. You may have sore muscles the day after an intense session, especially if you are not used to practicing sports. This is normal and will go away in one or two days. Sometimes (especially after receiving their first treatment in a long time) people can get a headache. This is due to tensions releasing, and will eventually go away. It is usually considered a good sign (though not a pleasant one). In order to minimize side effects, make sure to drink plenty of water and get some rest if you feel tired after the session. (See the section "before & after".)
